Blessing of the Backpacks

Shippensburg churches and local organizations are hosting the 8th Annual Blessing of the Backpacks. Families will be able to board a school bus as well as a fire truck. This annual event provides games for local students to win school supplies. Local organizations will also offer information about their programs. Holiday Hair will provide free back-to-school haircuts. At 7:00pm, several local pastors will offer a brief blessing for the school year which will be followed by the drawing for door prizes. Games, dinner and a chance to win door prizes are all FREE for students and their families. All events and activities are FREE.
