Dog Walk and Contests

The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter will hold their 16th Annual Dog Walk and Contests from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 29th at the shelter located at 5051 Letterkenny Road West. The event will be held rain or shine and registration begins at 9am with the walk starting at 10am. Participants are asked to raise money by getting sponsors for the dog walk. Prizes will be awarded for those who raise money, including a Go Pro camera, Amazon Fire Stick, Amazon Echo and a digital camera. Sponsor sheets may be picked up at the shelter or downloaded at http://cvas-pets.org. All monies collected will be due on the day of the walk. Chambersburg Area Kennel Club will be on hand with information and performing Canine Good Citizens testing. For more information log onto http://cakc.net. The canine contests will begin after the dog walk. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:  Best Trick, Best Costume, Best Kisser and Most Obedient. A panel of shelter judges will choose a winner from each category. Games and a scavenger hunt will also be included.
