Harbor Chili Cook Off!

Join us for our first ever Chili Cook Off at the Harbor! Make a pot of your best chili and bring your taste buds because you’ll be both judge and contestant. We’ll sample each of the pots of chili and then cast votes for whose is best and see who has bragging rights for 2020.

This will be the first we've ever done it, so it is going to be pretty simple:

1. The rules are that whoever is bringing an entry, basically bring a large pot or crock pot of chili, and it will be put out on a table with a number in front of it. Once we start, we'll go through and each pot will have little sample cups with numbers written on them that you can scoop some into and sample. we'll have a ballot that people can mark down which number is their #1, #2, and #3 best chilis and each vote will get 3, 2, and 1 points respectively. we'll tally up the votes and whoever has the most points wins.

2. How much to make? We were thinking that this being the first year we've ever done it, we aren't expecting it to be TOO big, so a large+ crock pot's worth should be good.

3. How much does it cost? There is no cost to sign up, other than bring your chili if you want to enter. the more people who bring chili - the better the competition!

4. Do I need to bring chili to be a part? NO - as we said, the more chili, the better, but we'll need judges too, and that's where you come in. :) Even if you don't bring chili, come and sample the entries and cast your votes.

5. Will there be prizes? maaaaaaybe. What are the prizes? um... we're not sure yet. lol
