Leadership Cumberland’s Leaders at Lunch Program honors distinguished individuals for their community service and leadership. They will host their 2018 Spring Leaders at Lunch event featuring Dr. Margee Ensign, Dickinson College’s 29th President, on Friday, April 6 at the Carlisle Comfort Suites. The cost of attending is $35 per person or $350 for a table sponsorship, which includes a reserved VIP table for 8 and an ad in the program. The program includes lunch and Dr. Ensign’s presentation “Building Leadership Through Community Engagement.” Check in starts at 11:30am and the program runs from 12:00-1:30pm. Dr. Ensign has been internationally recognized for her pioneering work as president at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), a young, private university based on the U.S model of university education. There she oversaw the creation of the finest digital library on the continent and a very active program of community engagement and humanitarian assistance. Pres. Ensign also co-founded the Adamawa Peace Initiative, a locally based response to the threat from Boko Haram violence, which successfully promoted peace in the area, and assisted close to 300,000 refugees for three years.
