Poverty Simulation

Deepen your understanding of poverty by participating in a poverty simulation. A poverty simulation is a profoundly moving, unique, and interactive experience. Be "assigned" as a family, single parent, or senior adult and walk through a day in the life of a Shippensburg family living on the edge of poverty. A debriefing and community conversation will follow the simulation to discuss ways to help reduce poverty in Shippensburg. We will also be collecting voluntary donations of apples, oranges/clementines or baby carrots to support the SCRC Hound Packs weekend food program for Shippensburg Area School District students. Event is open to the Shippensburg community.
