Taize Service at Christ United Methodist Church

The Taize style service incorporates elements from a style of worship which originated in a French ecumenical monastic community called Taize founded in 1940. it is a service based on music, reflection and prayer and all are invited to participate in each element of the service as they are moved to do so. The purpose of the service is to worship God, to pray and to have moments of silent meditation on the readings, the music or on matters that move each individual's spirit.
