Business Analyst

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst II’s role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders/end users. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to understand the technology solutions they need. The Business Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the credit union make good technology decisions and will be proactive when working with other departments to look for new technologies that optimize business processes. This position is a pivotal role in ensuring the development team’s delivery of optimal business solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Gather, design, and document details for success including current processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

· Consult with and provide recommendations to management and users when determining needs of the system.

· Liaise between business stakeholders, such as management or end users, and the software development or information technology team.

· Analyze and communicate stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements.

· Assist in the design of the system to meet the business objectives and goals.

· Provide guidance to project manager(s) with scope management, change management and solution definition.

· Specify inputs and formatting outputs to meet user needs.

· Ensure solutions are efficient, cost-effective, and financially feasible using techniques such as sampling, model building, structured analysis, and accounting principles.

· Contribute to project success and improve the flow of information using modeling and testing.

· Create process flow diagrams, data requirements and traceability matrixes.

· Analyze the business process through the organization for inefficiencies and inadequacies; make recommendations for solutions or improvements.

· Develop specifications diagrams and flowcharts for programmers to follow.

· Test, validate and deploy core system implementations.

· Oversee integration of third-party technology solutions.

· Support core system business functions, through manual, automated and change management processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
