Shippensburg Police Department

Shippensburg Police Department has opened up the hiring process for Police Officers in Shippensburg Borough.

Applicants must have the following requirements to be eligible for testing:

• Must be 20 years or older before the deadline for submitting completed applications
• Shall possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma
• Must be a United States citizen
• Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a Police Officer
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to appointment.
• Must establish a residence within 30 miles of the Borough of Shippensburg within six months of completing the probationary period for police officers.
